S50C is a kind of super heavy steel for mould .The equivalent material of S50C steel is C50,C50K, CK50 .S50C super heavy steel usually use for injection plastic mould, mould frame and some middle-range machine .

S50C mould steel plate with carbon content over 0.4%,and material S50C steel has good wear resistance, but the ductility decreases, quenching distortion and cracking easily, so the heat treatment for S50C steel material is very important, and must be rapid cooling after tempering, to avoid the temper brittleness.
